Get Valentine’s Day ready with inspiration from In The Style Curve and their new collection, full of stunning dresses at a click of finger.

Since I started blogging, I’ve become obsessed with creating posts inspired by special occasions, which I’ve come to realise is a “bloggers thing”.  Enter the Valentine’s Day edit; I promise you it won’t be too much, or as Miranda said in The Sex And The City Movie, “Valentine’s Day on steroids” (I love that line!), it’ll be just some style inspo, with recipes in between, what’s not to love?

If you read my post before featuring In The Style Curve, I was lucky enough to be sent clothes from their latest collections and its amazing, there’s more pictures on my Instagram, showcasing a couple of items from their beautiful lounge wear, check it out.  This time, I was sent some beautiful dresses, this silky wrap dress being one of them and I just love the fit.

For me personally, dresses can be a tough one to pick, I don’t like anything too short because it’ll always be shorter on me because of my fluffy parts, and I’m not too keen on low-cut either, so when I saw this dress at first, I loved it but thought, no, this isn’t really for me.  Then the second time, I thought I would give it a try, if I don’t like the fit, I won’t wear it, no big deal.  Put it on, and I was pleasantly surprised, the length was just right, and the ties were adjustable so I was able to have the dress as low-cut as I was comfortable with and it also helps with nipping in at the waist and complimenting any figure.

Dress – In The Style Curve

Tights – ASOS Curve

Handbag – Zara

Boots  – Dr Martens Chelsea Boots

I paired the wrap dress with black tights and black patent Dr Marten Chelsea Boots, for a more casual feel as this dress is quite versatile, but can be worn with heels and a clutch bag for an evening look.

The second dress I was sent was this beautiful, skater style white dress that is also available in black.  On the site, this dress looked more loose on the model, so I went down a couple of sizes to create a fitted look, which works so much better for me as loose fitted clothing can sometimes make me look unshapely.  I wore this dress with some subtle fishnet tights, my favourite nude boots and a small beaded bucks bag from Zara.
