Quiz Curve Clothing is one of the latest fashion brands to launch a new stylish and affordable collection in a plus size range.
With the help of social media, we live in a time where curves and body positivity can now be celebrated in life and in fashion. For so many years, women were made to feel that they had to look a certain way in order to be accepted; that being said, women on the fluffier side (myself included) struggled to find a fashionable, comfortable yet sassy outfit from high street retailers. Thanks to clothing brands like Quiz Clothing, women from all around the world, of all sizes can now strut their stuff, looking and feeling amazing!
Quiz have brought out a curve collection in collaboration with Felicity Haywood, who is a curve queen and model who also promotes a body positive movement called “Self Love Brings Beauty” on Instagram. The pieces are bang on trend with lots of flowers and embroidery, which is perfect for Spring fashion and my wardrobe. I was lucky enough to try out their new range first hand, so this post is sort a review, and sort of haul.
Firstly, I’ll start with these black tailored trousers, they are comfortable with an elastic waist but fitted all the way down the leg, perfect for a professional event. I would say the fit is true to size.
Next, we have a navy bodycon dress with a floral embroidery on each shoulder. I love the navy a pink blush tones together, I think they mix quite well. Floral embroidery is so bang on trend at the moment and Quiz Curve delivers in all aspects as a lot of their range is quite girly and floral. The material is heavy weight and fully supportive to any figure; I sized up in this dress, simply because it is so fitted but it was very comfortable and didn’t a lot of adjusting throughout the day.
Thirdly, is this beautiful burnt orange bell sleeve, peplum top. I love every detail of this top; the colour, the cold shoulder detailing, the sleeves but the fit. Peplum styles should always start on the waist to create a more proportioned shape but with this top, the peplum starts too high up which is unflattering and creates a more top heavy look.
Lastly, is this baby blue shirt dress, with floral embroidery (see, I told you). Again, the embroidery is perfect for this season but I’m in love with the baby blue colour, in fact I’ve been wearing it quite a bit recently on my Instagram. The fit is a little bit bigger but I like the looser look. Apparently Shirt dresses and jeans are thing at the moment so I paired this shirt dress with some skinny jeans and flatforms, perfect for a casual outing.
